I recently went to upgrade from SAS 9.0 to SAS 9.1 Update 2 (java_ee_sdk-5_06-windows-nojdk.exe) on my WinXP development laptop.
I am running the following version of java:
java version "1.6.0_10"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_10-b33)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.0-b15, mixed mode, sharing)
I'm uncertain if SAS 9.0 was uninstalled correctly. However, it was installed at c:\sun\sdk. I removed EVERYTHING from c:\sun\sdk before installing SAS 9.1 Update 2.
I wanted to install SAS 9.1 U2 at the same directory - c:\sun\sdk. The installation failed.
The installation log file states:

I was able to install this to c:\sun\sdk2 without issue.
What would prevent me from installing in the original directory of choice (c:\sun\sdk)?
thanks in advance.
