Although I am disappointed that someone at Sun did not care to answer this even though I put in considerable clues in the posting I did eventually figure this out. I deleted the .asadmintruststore file in my C:\Documents and Settings\user folder (where the folder "user" is the current user on the machine. Simply do a seach for it if you are confused. But it is best to delete this file before doing any domain creations I believe since it obviously has the tendency to get corrupt. It used in creating the https certifications I think.
