I imagine that the jar file will need to be on the classpath of the classloader of which you are trying to load it as a resource. Such as through a manifest list, or the like...

Yeah, I understand, the problem is that its not my jar file and shouldn't modify it just for the web service. I was just wondering how ./ may be evaluated differently in glassfish.
