Hi Gary,
I've taken a look at the tread on
http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=279748
Probably this won't help, (just not disappoint you again)
But some thoughts...(maybe even wild guesses)
Are you using maven within eclipse? Have you ever had the eclipse error
"Eclipse is running in a JRE, ..." and I'm not sure how it continues but it
tells you it needs a JDK. This may have had you change your JAVA_HOME to
jdk/ instead of jdk/jre. Please check. With this in mind, you could also try
changing glassfish's jvm-option -client to -server.
Furthermore, I notice the exception is trown during a SocketAccept().
Stupid idea maybe, but you wouldn't happen to have windows firewall turned
on? (Or any other. Norton antivirus/inet security is known for this kind of
sheiss, ie blocking connections from localhost to localhost).
Probably you will have tried all of this already, but it was not mentioned
in the thread and it crossed my mind.
regards,
Wim

Subject: Re: Eclipse breaks when GlassFish publishes
Hi Gary,
A couple more suggestions:
1) Try the new Eclipse 3.4 RC build
(<
http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/34/download/20080615-061
0/index.html>)
Make sure you try with a new workspace.
2) If that doesn't work, perhaps we could set up a vnc session and we
can try to help you with your environment.
Thanks,
Rochelle

of Eclispse, GlassFish and SUN SDK installed. But you do not have the
issues that I have.

GF but instead ask what other JEE server I could use in order to go forward
