Well, after trying everything you said to do, and after taking a few days to get over my extreme disappointment, unfortuantely I have to say that I am still having the problem of eclipse closing when GF publishes.
I started and stopped the erver with asadmin successfully. I received no errors when completing this exercise. I can post the command prompt messages from the execution of these commands if you care to see them.
Anyway, I remain frustrated and annoyed about all this. I know you have the same OS (VISTA Business) as I have. I believe we have the same versions of Eclispse, GlassFish and SUN SDK installed. But you do not have the issues that I have.
Unless you or anybody else can offer some additional insites as to what my problem is ( configuration issues?) I'm thinking my next step is to not use GF but instead ask what other JEE server I could use in order to go forward with my project.
