Hi Laird,
EJB 3.0 Remote references can be passed portably as arguments and return values of
invocations within one Java EE 5 implementation. They can also be portably stored within
an EJB bean instance (including Stateful Session beans) or an HTTP Session.
The EJB 3.0 Remote view does not expose Handle functionality for storing Remote references persistently.
Handles are available for Remote EJB 2.x references via EJBObject.getHandle().
