I don't think sjsas 8.1 preserves the original archive files after deployment.... (unless you used the autodeploy facilities)
You may want to create a zip file of the directories created in domain-root/applications/j2ee-apps and domain-root/applications/j2ee-modules...
You can use the content of those zips as the "source" for using directory deployment with asadmin deploydir... if you need to redeploy the "old" applications...
