If i understand you right, you have created your custom resource and pool via the admin console and also trying to the same with netbeans. In this case, the name of the pools and resources are going to be different. What if you skip the step of creating it yourself deom admin console and let the netbeans do it for you. But before you deploy, make sure the sun-resources.xml is edited with the right values.
