What platform are you running GlassFish under?
If MS Windows, can you try the following, "*ipconfig -a*" or Linux/Unix,
"*ifconfig -a*":
What does the output say, mine says:
/Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : localdomain
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.16.24.128
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 172.16.24.2/
Can you ping the IP address listed? In my case: 172.16.24.128?
You will also see that the service string for JMX also lists this
particular IP address.
service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://172.16.24.128:8686/jmxrmi/
/
The same goes for the IP address listed for your particular instances,
can you ping those IP addresses? Or the Fully Qualified Domain Name
(FQDN) entry?
Your *netstat -rn* output may also show something interesting.
GlassFish usually requires a real IP address, or at least a loopback
interface.

Chris
