Hello everybody,
I'm new to java and glassfish. I have Fedora5 box.
I did:
install jdk 1.6.0
after
# cd /usr/java
# java -Xmx256m -jar glassfish-installer-v2ur1-b09d-linux.jar
# ant -f setup.xml
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tools/ant/launch/Launcher
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher
        at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200)
        at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)

        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:251)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:319)
I managed to:
# chmod -R +x /usr/java/glassfish/lib/ant/bin
# /usr/java/glassfish/lib/ant/bin/ant --noconfig -version
and it worked.

when I run from command line
# ant -v
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tools/ant/launch/Launcher
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher

when
[root_at_topaz glassfish]# /usr/java/glassfish/lib/ant/bin/ant --noconfig -version
Apache Ant version 1.6.5 compiled on June 2 2005

Will it influence proper deployment of future Java EE 5 applications ?
I can see that there is /usr/bin/ant already on the system.
What I should do ?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
