We are experimenting a weird issue. We have a JavaEE 5 Enterprise application deployed at Glassfish V2ur1. The application have several session beans, one message driven bean, and we are using toplink JPA too. The client side is a operating control made of several swing applications, acting as remote EJB3+JMS clients. In stress situations we noticed that the aplication server stops responding, even the web console refused to work. The server log was not helpful, because nothing was traced, but the O.S. seem to have a complete communication hang. Killing the java.exe process that corresponds to Glassfish, solved the blocking situation.
Tired of testing, I decided to close the Panda Antivirus, and "voilà", I was unable to reproduce the hang situation, so it seems that the Antivirus application blocks in some way the application server, i don't know how. The problem is that the O.S is Windows, and so we have to run an Antivirus Application, I wish we haved a Sun Blade with Solaris 10 :_(
