I have turned off IPtables and still get the same problem. I also am sure that I am using the correct JDK. I have check my path numerous times and removed the instances of IcedTea on the machine. The only java variables on the system point to the 1.6.0_03. I guess I could try a 1.5 or an earlier 1.6 version. It just does not give me much confidence in glassfish if I am having these problems to begin with
