Attached is the ejb jar and war file.
1) TestJNDI.jar - EJB
2) TestJNDI_Web.war - Servlet.
Version information -
OS - SunOS 5.10 Generic_118855-33 i86pc i386 i86pc
Java - 1.6
Glassfish - Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 (build b58g-fcs)
Both the components are on Solaris. It fails when EJB is hosted on UNIX.
