tried again and can change the keys without delete/create them as below:
#keytool -keypasswd -keystore keystore.jks -alias xws-security-server
Enter keystore password: adminadmin
Enter key password for <xws-security-server>changeit
New key password for <xws-security-server>: adminadmin
Re-enter new key password for <xws-security-server>: adminadmin
should always put adminadmin in keystore password and "changeit" for the alias.
