Same problem as I have, and we have dicussed at length Tim. I just recently changed my firewall/anti-virus stuff, and it reduced the time from 50-60 seconds down to 30 seconds for the application start-up - must be the firewall/anti-virus scanning the files being exploded from the EAR. But the net result is still not really acceptable.
Still no chance of skipping that step in gf v2 before it's released ?
