I'm just trying this and found that the ear created by maven has an application.xml compliant with an old DTD:

http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd

If only I knew how to avoid it to be generated by maven... because the same ear can be deployed (using the admin console) if i take the application.xml out of the ear package.

Any help?
