Hi Kristof,
Could you please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue ?
a) which version of MySQL Connector/J , JDK version, OS.
b) did you restart appserver after copying the MySQL jar to domains/domain1/lib.
c) When do you see the exception ? eg: create-jdbc-con-pool > select resourcetype, database vendor > NEXT
