Re: DB Persistent Preferences API implementation

I mean that the Preferences API has a service provider architecture as many APIs in Java so that differnet providers can be implemented.

The default provider of Preferences API uses a local directory on unix and the registry on Windows.

I think that it would be very useful if we implement a provider which stores the preferences in a database and also extend the management console of Glassfish. Storing it in a database allows much better safety and scalability, especially in a cluster with failover, etc.
