Keeping objects alive as long as AppServer running

Hey,

I created some pool of objects I want to be available and active as long as the AppServer is a live,

How long a stateful EJB lives? or maybe I can register my objects as JNDI resources when server loads?

What is the best approach for such a requirement?

And if storing them as a JNDI resource is good choise, are there any directions of how to add my own JNDI resources?

Thanks,

Asaf.
