First, for those folks that have filed issues in NetBeans concerning
bugs that they have encountered while using NetBeans 5.5 as their IDE
for apps targeting the app server built from the Project GlassFish's V2
codebase:
Thank you!
Please keep trying it and exposing issues.
I would ask that you follow these instructions when you file your issues
in the future:
1. Please refer to the build of V2 that you are using in the description
of the bug.
So a bug description would have something like, "GlassFish V2 build 23"
in the description.
2. PLEASE use V2 in the build description, not the SJSAS version name
and number.
So a bug should have: "GF V2" or "GlassFish V2".
It would be better if the bug doesn't have something like: "App Server
9.1 PE" or "SJSAS 9.1 EE" or variations of these strings....
Why:
Consider the results of this query:
Find issues filed against 5.5 (and 5.5u1) that have the string 9.1 in a
description entry
The first finds a number of issues that don't apply. It makes the
process of find bugs and tracking the real health of NB 5.5 / GF V2
interoperability harder.
