I notice the binary builds of GlassFish are packaged by system platform.
Does GlassFish depend on JNI? If not, any chance we can get a
platform-independent binary build of GlassFish, ala Geronimo and JBoss?

I'd like to try GlassFish but don't see my OS (FreeBSD) on the list of
build platforms and don't feel like attempting a source build (at this
point in time).
