there is v2 compatibility mode. Really useful for migration. See: https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=10479

However, you have to set it over and over again. There is no way to
set it globally. So I opened an RFE: https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=10496

Otherwise you couldn't deploy v2 app into v3 with e.g. hudson...
