Hi Judy,

Thanks for your words. I like to help to the community, unfortunately the time that I have is too short, i have a lot of activities in my University as a student and campus ambassador, but always that I have a time I like to help.

I proposed a Glassfish workshop using JEE, Php, MySQL and NetBeans in my school for my fellow students.

In my university a little group of professors know about Glassfish, but some of them want to learn about the application server...but they want to take a course about that...i recommended to them the SAI Courses.

Thanks for all!

Alan

Hi Alan, Good to hear from you. It is very nice to see you helping out SJSU students.

Alex and Kazem went to Mexico last year and recruited Alan in FishCAT program.
Since then Alan has been actively promoting GlassFish in his University.  Thanks
Alan so much.  By the way, does your university has testing class, may be you
can help us introduce GlassFish testing to the professor ?  Any one else has
good lead to the University and it's testing class, please let me know.  Thanks !

Hi Jason,

I've installed Php and MySQL on Glassfish, it's a very easy homework. Only I want to give you an advise...use the latest version of Quercus.

I have installed Wordpress on Glassfish and works fine. By the way, me and a fellow campus ambassador developed a video tutorial for how to do this...but it's in spanish, but it's very intuitive, look:

I hope that this can help you!

I tried to deploy php/mysql application over glassfish application server & for that i even tried to configure the server with quercus-3.1.1 as I googled a method to do so but unfortunately I failed in the task. I could not find any installation or instruction method to get the PHP or MySQL functions onto the Glassfish server.

I know it must not be a very big task and may be I am missing something very simple and stupid. So if anyone can help me in doing so.

I wrote a couple of blog entries on that topic some time ago:

They're likely a bit dated with regard to versions, but it should at least help you get going.  I need to update the UC module for the latest Quercus, and, when I get time, look into creating a UC v2 module. But, there it is, for what it it's worth. :)
