+1 have used toplink on several dbms with no problems (oracle, ms, mysql,
derby).
-1 for hibernate though. This consistently produces errors with blob/clobs
on mssql 2008 (when used through jpa and annotations, not in case of
programmatic UserTransactions)
The error thrown was something in the sense of "Cannot convert blob/clob to
blablabla..."
Sorry for shallow memory, but I didn't have time to look into it at the time
and used toplink on mssql ever since. Toplink in 1 word : sweet.

You are correct. EclipseLink is the correct name. Internally we
call it Toplink.
