OK I did some more tests today. What I hadn't mentioned so far is that I am
running Glassfish on Debian Linux using JDK 1.5.0_08. I happen to have a laptop
with WinXP on it and I decided to try this out.
So, I have JDK 1.5.0_08 on XP and I installed Glassgfish V1 UR1 build 14 on it.
To my big surprise, I didn't have to add another listener to get the app working
on it. Also, when I removed the ORBInitialPort line, so only specifiyng
ORBInitialHost, the app still works fine! I even put some "debugging" statement
into the bean source to be sure I was connecting to the correct bean and host.
So, I think my problem is related to Glassfish running on Linux and it doesn't
happen with Glassfish running on Windows. Would anyone please confirm this?
Thanks, Wouter
