The code matching the 3.1.1 release is here I think (this is what I use
to debug):

Maybe there's no 3.1.1 branch anymore because there's no ongoing 3.1.1
work? IOW, after the tag was created the branch was removed? Rev 48409
sez: "Rename 3.1.1 branch to 3.1.2."
