Two things:

If you don't like the message, file a JIRA with maven. Take a look at
this for an example of where you can file the issue: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-1550

Why is there no checksum in the repository for the artifact in
woodstox? File an issue at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/WSTX
