app server's configuration ...

This is a bit of a "process" e-mail. Don't start
hating me for sending it ;)

As you might be aware, app server's configuration is
mostly stored in an XML named "domain.xml" which is
validated using a DTD called domain_x_y.dtd. While
suggesting any changes to the DTD, please follow
the process documented at:

http://www.glassfishwiki.org/gfwiki/Wiki.jsp?page=GlassFishConfigurationManagement

Hopefully, I have not made it too cumbersome to follow.

Usually, a config change request is followed by some
discussion and is either approved/rejected/modified in
the best interest of app server. Note that previous
versions of app server and "upgrade" scenarios have to considered.

Admin team provides the config, admin-cli/AMX and dynamic
reconfiguration support should the changes be approved.

Thanks,
Kedar
