GlassFishAnnouncements
Promoting news and information about GlassFish.
Please follow this process for communicating news about GlassFish to
the project owners.
If you have written a blog, updated a web page with useful content or
come across an article or posting that you think GlassFish users
will find interesting, please create an announcement on the GlassFish
site. All with the "developer" role will be able to
suggest an announcement in the GlassFish project.
On the left nav bar there is a link '
announcements'.
Use
this link to create the announcement. Fill in the header with an
informative title. Use the word 'GlassFish' as this will help
readers identify the project. Fill in the body of the
announcement and again refer to GlassFish but this time add a link to
the project. You should also add a link to the blog, article,
tech tip or posting you are announcing. You use simple html in
the body of the annoucement to do this, for
example, <a
href="http://glassfish.dev.java.net">GlassFish</a> for linking
to the GlassFish project. Remember to include enough information
so the readers will want to consume the news. There is no way to
preview so review what you wrote up in the annoucement, however, you
can easily go back and
edit the it if needed.
The announcement will show up in the table as pending approval.
All project owners will receive an email about the suggested
announcement so there is no need to send us email directly. Any
of the project owners can approve or disapprove. Project
Owners should upon approval, update the index.html file (home page) and
add a link to the annoucement in the news section. This will help
get the
word out about GlassFish.
Finally, please send email to theaquarium@sun.com. The Aquarium
is an aggregation of posts that are related to GlassFish.
