Hi,
I can see why a user might want to upgrade a CONFIG node to an SSH node:
After an upgrade from 2.x, the node agent elements in the DAS
configuration (domain.xml) are transformed into CONFIG nodes. If, after
the upgrade, a user wants to use SSH for centralized cluster
administration, the use must change the CONFIG nodes to SSH nodes.
It's less obvious why a user might want to go the other way. I think
this possibility is provided largely in the interests of symmetry and
consistency.
Regards,
-Paul
