Well, we're not doing ssh either. These are the kinds of things we won't
need to figure out yet if we don't do ssh yet.

Yes, it will. Plus, customers have asked for it (no node agent).

When we do introduce the node agent, that's essentially what I expect
it to do. We need all the command primitives no matter what. Let's
do them first and once they're solid we'll build other support around
them.
