This is the behavior in v3 Prelude, not sure if you consider this 'new'
behavior.

You can go to security-> admin-realm and press the Manage Users button
to create more admin user. Once an additional user is created, you
will notice the 'Logout' link in the upper right corner. You can then
log out and log back in as the new user.
You have the option to delete the anonymous user, or add a password to
it, or leave the password field empty for anonymous user.

The login screen will be skipped only if there is just 1 user who's
name is 'anonymous' and who doesn't have any password. Any other
situation will require login.

I thought this is all documented in v3 Prelude already. You may want
to check with Paul.

thanks
Anissa.
