Hi,
I have a question for the Admin Console Iteam that I thought I might as
well ask ahead of time rather than spring it on you in the meeting,
since it's a little complicated.
In the Admin Console task list
(
http://sites.google.com/site/glassfishconsole/v3-admin-console-task-list)
"MQ Config" is described as a nice-to-have feature.
I'm wondering what aspects of MQ configuration are referred to here. Is
this just the part of the tree previously called "Java Message Service"
(with JMS Hosts under it)?
I am not sure what would be the point of providing this for EA, since
none of the other JMS-related support is likely to be there: there won't
be any support in the GUI for JMS resources or even for connector
resources (which is what JMS resources really are underneath). It
appears that even for the CLI only the connector commands will be there,
not the JMS commands. There will probably be no MDB support in the EJB
container, because the MS2 page
(
http://wiki.glassfish.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=GFv3FinalMS2) says that
this "Depends on asadmin JMS commands", and those are not planned to be
present.
So I'm wondering why MQ configuration is even listed as nice-to-have. It
seems as if for EA it would be more useful to implement more basic
things if you have time to.
Thanks,
Kim
P.S. It would be awfully nice if those Google pages provided a timestamp
the way the GF wiki ones do, to let you know when they were last edited
and by whom. It would enable a viewer to tell if the pages have changed
recently.
