Good questions Ken. :-)
My initial thoughts were on testing the functionality we've already got
but this is exactly the reason I'm asking - perhaps the time is better
spent on new prototypes.
Another alternative is to do the formal study on what we've got and try
to do more informal studies on the prototypes.
