Hi,
An example document of encoding XML infosets as fast infoset documents
has been published [1].
"This document is based on Annex D of ITU-T Rec. X.891 | ISO/IEC 24824-1
as it was on Jan. 24, 2005. At that time, the standard was under
ballot. Annex D, and thus this document, will be updated due to ballot
comments that require slight modifications to the encoding and to the
examples."
Even though there will be slight modifications this document provides a
useful read for those wishing to understand the Fast Infoset encoding.
Infact the only major impact is the offset chosen for indexes of
namespace name and prefix strings. The fundamentals of the encoding will
not change.
An early version Fast Infoset SAX serializer was used to produce the
fast infoset documents presented in the document. The XML document and
the fast infoset documents may be found here in the repository:
https://fi.dev.java.net/source/browse/fi/FastInfoset/test/X.finf/
The simple unit tests ensure that the SAX serializer can produce the
same octet for octet fast infoset documents and ensure that it is
possible to roundtrip from a fast infoset document to an XML infoset
back to the same fast infoset document, thus testing the parser as well
as the serializer.
Paul.
