Experts,
As you know, one of the important items on the original EJB 3.2
proposal (
http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=345) was support for
multi-tenancy:
- Further enablement for use in the cloud. EJB 3.2 will
consider enhancements to the EJB architecture to enable the Platform as
a Service (PaaS) model for applications using the EJB architecture in
accordance with the directions of the Java EE 7 Platform JSR. This will
include an investigation for the support of multiple tenants.
If you hadn't done so, please review the document called "The Java EE 7
Platform and Support for the PaaS Model" that can be found on the Java
EE Platform Downloads page:
http://java.net/projects/javaee-spec/downloads/download/PaaS.pdf and
specifically review its multi-tenancy requirements.
Please also review the Java EE EG mail thread called "proposal for
Tenant ID"
(
http://java.net/projects/javaee-spec/lists/jsr342-experts/archive/2012-01/message/33).
Let's discuss if anything specific needs to be added to the EJB 3.2
spec in regards to this subject or if there are any EJB-specific
requirements that we would need to address.
Thank you,
-marina
