Hello experts

Please find the final draft of the Connectors 1.7 Maintenance release
specification available at
http://java.net/projects/connector-spec/downloads/download/connector_1_7-candidate-draft-20130202.pdf.zip.

ACTION: Could you please review this candidate draft and let me know your
comments (even if it is a simple "I am okay with this version" ) by
Tuesday, February 5 PST EoD? As per the schedule shared earlier, we would
need to submit the MR changelog to the JCP on February 7th. Thanks again
for your contribution and support.

The javadoc for this spec continues to remain at
http://java.net/projects/connector-spec/downloads/download/connector-1_7-working-draft-1-javadoc.zip

I have retained the changebars (so that you could see what has been
changed from Connector 1.6 spec).

I have made the following changes, compared to the first draft:
- Removed the Password Alias feature
- Addressed a bunch of typos and editorial fixes (fixed how references to
sections in Java EE Platform spec are made etc) throughout. Updated a few
more spec versions in Appendix E to align with the EE 7 platform spec
versions.
- 18.9 Resource Definition Annotations: (Jesper) Clarified requirements on
where these annotations must be supported. I have modified that para (3rd
para in 18-17) to be more clearer and added an example.
- (Wilson) Clarified Admin Object rules in 18.9.2 and
ResourceAdapterAssociation interface in 18.8
- 21.5 Dependency Injection: Explicitly defined the list of JavaBeans,
(Wilson/Fred) clarified on what is and is not expected to work portably
giving examples, clarified the intent to address this in a future release
- Added Section 1.8 (EG details and acknowledgements)

As discussed in the meeting on Wednesday, I have also marked the related
issues (CONNECTOR_SPEC-1, CONNECTOR_SPEC-3, CONNECTOR_SPEC-4,
CONNECTOR_SPEC-5, CONNECTOR_SPEC-6, and CONNECTOR_SPEC-7) as resolved.

Thanks
