So I think this would be a great discussion for design alternatives. You
could create a JIRA issue so we don' forget about it if you like?

Our current primary goal is to demonstrate sensible architectural
patterns for Java EE (certainly as a first step), not necessarily
demonstrating every API or feature. That being said, perhaps even this
would be great as a design discussion?
