             Bug #: 5818
Summary: need simple way to override MIME type and encoding of
                    attachment
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: javamail
           Version: 1.4.5
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P5
         Component: generic
        AssignedTo: shannon_at_kenai.com
        ReportedBy: shannon_at_kenai.com
                CC: issues_at_javamail.kenai.com

When adding an attachment, there should be a simple way to specify the
MIME Content-Type and Content-Transfer-Encoding to be used for the attachment.
While JavaMail will choose default values, there are times when the defaults
need to be overridden. While it's possible to override these values, it
should be easier to do so.
