Page tab of the Page Setup tab

Overview

Use the Page tab of the Page Setup tab of the Layout Options dialog box to enter values that affect page setup for printed output.

Screen Elements

Scaling area

Settings in this area only affect the Timescale; they do not apply to the Grid.

Number of horizontal sheets field

The number of horizontal pages on which to display the timescale. Essentially, this setting determines how large the image is and how crowded activities are on the timescale. It stretches the diagram to fit the exact number of pages specified. More horizontal pages create longer bars, which create more space for bar labels and make the diagram easier to view.

Resolution field

The resolution ratio between inches and day. This allows the spacing to occur in a set interval instead of having to fit and stretch to a specific number of pages.

Paper area

Paper Size list

The size of paper for printing. A list of common sizes is provided. You can also enter your own dimensions by choosing Custom.

Width field

The width of the paper, in inches, selected for printing. This field is only editable if you selected Custom in the Paper Size list.

Height field

The height, in inches, of the paper selected for printing. This field is only editable if you selected Custom in the Paper Size list.

Portrait option

Determines whether the printed image is taller than it is wide, relative to the direction of the long and short edges of the paper.

Landscape option

Determines whether the printed image is wider than it is tall, relative to the direction of the long and short edges of the paper.

Show page breaks option

This option only applies when you are creating a TSLD layout.

Determines whether page breaks are visible in the diagram on the screen. A page break appears on the screen as a faint dashed line at each page border. If not used, page breaks are honored in the report but are not visible on screen except when using print preview.

Margins area

Margin totals cannot exceed the width and height of the paper. For example, if you set Paper Size to Letter, you cannot set the Top and Bottom margins to greater than 8.50 inches.

Top field

The margin size, in inches, for the margin at the top of the page.

Bottom field

The margin size, in inches, for the margin at the bottom of the page.

Left field

The margin size, in inches, for the margin at the left side of the page.

Right field

The margin size, in inches, for the margin at the right side of the page.
