Connections tab of the Lines tab

Overview

Use the Connections tab of the Lines tab to choose to use and customize connection details for all visible activities, external relationship lines, and filtered activities.

Screen Elements

Show connection details for all visible activities option

Determines whether connection details for all activities that are not external or filtered will appear in the layout. Only successor information is displayed.The primary purpose of this option is to show relationship lag and type, Project ID, and Activity ID.

Show external relationships option

Determines whether connection details for each predecessor and successor of an activity, one level deep, for any relationships outside of the currently selected projects will appear in the layout.

Show filtered activities option

Determines whether connection details for for each predecessor and successor of an activity, one level deep, for any relationships that are not displayed because of activities that have been filtered will appear in the layout.

Fields area

Select which fields you want to show for each type of relationship. Project ID will always appear on the upper left. Activity ID will always be on the upper right. Lag will always be on the lower left, and Relationship Type will always be on the lower right of the connections area. When selecting fields for external relationships, the option to Hide for internal relationships does not exist because this setting in not applicable.

Shape area

You can customize the fill color and maximum width per field. When selecting fields for all visible activities, you can select to show relationship lines inside the shape.

Border area

You can customize the color, thickness and style of the borders as well as the cap style. To hide the border, set the thickness to zero.

Font area

You can customize the font, font style, font size, and color of text.

Getting Here

From the Create or Open Timescaled Logic Diagram dialog box or the Create or Open Gantt Diagram dialog box, click Options. Click the Lines tab, then click the Connections tab.
