Sort tab of the Group & Sort tab

Overview

Use the Sort tab of the Group & Sort tab to sort items in your layout. Grouping bands always display in alphanumeric order, even if no sorting is specified.

Screen Elements

Add button

Adds a sorting data type. The order determines the sequence of the sorting. For example, if the first sorting entry is Activity Type and the second is Activity Status, it will sort first by Activity Type, then will sub-sort by Activity Status.

Delete button

Deletes the selected sorting data type.

Field Name field

Lists sorting field choices. Click to select or change a field choice.

Sort Order field

The corresponding field's sort order in which data is organized, ascending or descending. When you select ascending order, the application sorts text or numbers from zero through nine, and then A through Z. Dates are ordered from the earliest date to the latest date.

Getting Here

From the Create or Open Timescaled Logic Diagram dialog box or the Create or Open Gantt Diagram dialog box, click Options. Click the Group & Sort tab, then click the Sort tab.
