How to Edit Activity and Transition Properties

What to do:

In order to work through this example you must have completed the example Add and Connect Components.

Open the Workflow Editor.

Open the process Purchase Requisition.

Double-click the activity Create.
The Activity properties window is opened.

Fill in the following fields:

Name of field	Description
Name	Name of the work item to be completed
	Changes the language
Phase	The Phase field contains the current activity status and is updated by the system.
Description	Description of the work item to be completed
Alert user	The user that is to be notified when the work item becomes overdue. If no user is specified in this field, the process owner is notified instead when the work item becomes overdue.
Duration	Defines the estimated duration required for the completion of this work item.
Limit	Defines the deadline of the processing period. Once this deadline is exceeded, the Alert User is notified by e-mail.
On Complete	Userexit to be executed upon completion of the activity
In Background	Userexit that is to be executed as a background batch process upon completion of the activity.

Since the "On Complete" field is used to define a LogiView procedure which shall be called if an activity is completed interactively
by a user, this field is ignored for non-interactive activities. Non-interactive activities are:

The activity properties for Create may be modified as depicted below:

To save the entries click OK.

For test cases it is possible to enter "mi" (minutes) in the Duration and Limit field although "mi" cannot be selected from the selection menu!

Please note that the insertion of decimal values in the Duration and Limit fields are not supported!

Please note, that in Agile e6 the system checks the state of each activity that is to be edited. If the state permits editing, the following message will be displayed:

Similar to activities, connecting lines can be edited. When clicking a connecting line, a Transition properties window is opened.

Please note that the Label field mustn't contain special characters as e.g. <, > or &!

The text entered in the Text field is displayed along the connecting line as depicted below.
