How to Open and Edit the Variant Form

What to do:

In order to work through this example, you must have completed the example Prepare Items for Variants.

Select Start > Bill of Materials > Item Variants.

Select the variant wildcard ART-1200-V Ornamental Ring (variant).

Select Open list of variants (VAR) > List from the context menu.

In the displayed Variant form mask ART-1200-V for the variant wildcard, all item variants are displayed which have been assigned to the variant wildcard by now.

Change to Insert mode with the button .

Change to the field Item No.

Click the button .
The item list is opened.

In the Items mask select and highlight the item variant ART-1200-A Ornamental Ring (silver).

Select Take entry from the context menu.

In the Variant form mask, click the field Color.
This field displays the attribute of the variant wildcard.

In the Material field, enter Color silver as the ornamental ring color.

In the Variant form mask, click the field Material.
This field displays the attribute of the variant wildcard.

In the Material field, enter Material Metal for the ornamental ring color.

Save the entry with the button .

Repeat steps 4 to 12 and enter the following values:
