How to Define the Variant Wildcard Properties / Attributes

 
 

What to do:

In order to work through this example as displayed, you must have completed the example Enter a Variant Wildcard.

Select Start > Bill of Materials > Item Variants.
The variant management is opened.

Select the variant wildcard ART-1200-V Ornamental Ring (variant).
Select the tab Definition with the left mouse button.

Change to Insert mode with the button .

Set the following properties / attributes.

Column Description Examples
PNo. Running number of the attribute. This number must be unique. 1 2
Name Name of the attribute which is added to the item variants in the variant form. The name must be unique. Color Material
Type

Data format and data length of the attribute.

B > Binary
D > Date
F > Real number
I > Integer
L > Logic
M > Currency
S > Character
