Role Concept

Create a Role

	Select Manager > Permissions > Role Model > Roles. The Role mask is opened.
	Switch to Insert mode with the button .
	In the Role field, enter DOKU-USER.
	Click the Abstract field to enable the Abstract flag.
	This flag specifies if the selected function is a real function within the company or if it has been created to simplify the role structure (e.g. properties of several roles are combined - this is described in the example Applying role properties).
	In the Description field, enter Virtual user of the Documentation department.
	Please note that a userexit written in the Userexit field doesn't have any effect in the standard role concept (EDB-ROL-ACTIVE = 1)!
	Click the General tab and select Reload from the context menu to activate the settings.
	Click on the tab Privileges to activate it.
	Switch to Insert mode with the button .
	In the Privilege field, click the button . The Privilege list is opened.
	Find the access privilege EDB-DOC-ARC-INS.
	Highlight this entry and select the Take entry option from the context menu.
	To save the entry click the button .
	Click the Privileges tab and select Reload from the context menu to activate the settings.
	Once this privilege has been defined, access to this function is restricted to users who are permitted to create new documents of the document type ARCHIVED_DOC as a result of their job function.
	Please note that the most convenient way to activate all settings is to log off and in again to Agile!
	Repeat steps 10 to 12 for the access privilege EDB-DOC-ARC-UPD.
	Left-click the tab Licenses to activate it.
	Switch to Insert mode with the button .
	In the License field, click the button . The Licenses list is opened.
	Select a license.
	Highlight this entry and select Take entry from the context menu.
	Definition of this entry ensures that a license is assigned to the owner of the role DOKU-USER (if available). The License entries of the role concept are not taken into account unless the Configuration parameter EDB-LIC-ALG has previously been initialized with the value ROLE.
	To save the entry click the button .
	Once a role has been assigned to a person, it is strongly recommended NOT to change the role name because you might delete references to job functions.
