Specifying a join condition allows you to display field contents from other data base tables in a mask. However, you cannot edit these fields contents and you should care for a write protection in the mask. In case of a query, the defined join string is automatically appended to the one generated by DataView. If you have set a join string, you will have to call dal_iwf_def_cns afterwards. .

For the structure of the join string the following rules apply:

• The string may not contain any spaces.
• Several conditions can only be linked using an AND combination (enter: > & < ).
• As comparison operators =, !, <, > are allowed,
• When comparing with a value, this value must be preceded by the data type with a colon in the join string. You can use all data types supported by DataView.
