How to Define an Operation

Select Start > Process Planning > Operations.
The Operations Form is opened.

Switch to Insert mode with the button .

Enter OP-62001 in the Operation No. field.

Enter Operation 1 in the Name field.

Change to the Process Type field.

Click the button .
A menu with all available process types is displayed.

Select the EXTRACT option.

Enter in the Operations Description field: Operation 1 for the production of the upper metal tube of a ball pen.

Save the entry with the button .

All other fields are filled in automatically. With the exception of the Revision field, none of the other fields can be edited.

Repeat steps 3 to 9 and enter the following values:

Operation ID	Name	Process Type	Description of Operation
OP-62002	Operation 2	PUNCH	Operation 2 for the production of the upper metal tube of a ball pen.
OP-62003	Operation 3	SURFACE	Operation 3 for the production of the upper metal tube of a ball pen.
