How to Integrate the Number Server

To integrate the number server into an Agile e6 mask, the range must be defined and some actions may have to be taken.

As a prerequisite for this example, the enumeration circle ART-NR-3 from Example #3 must be created in advance.

Users must be logged in with customizing privileges and must be part of a group with write access to mask data.

• The field containing the enumeration circle that is to be incremented automatically by the number server must have the suffix "_ID", e.g. table and field name "T_MASTER_DAT.PART_ID". If this field does not exist already, you need to create the field in the corresponding table. Do not forget to edit the table accordingly.
• An enumeration circle with the syntax of the number server must be defined.
• In the mask from which the number server is to be called, the "nsv_usx_pra" userexit must be entered as "Edit-Action-Userexit". If there is already a userexit present at this location, LIST_A must be added to the userexit text (e.g. LIST_A xartic_action (/FIELD_TYPE = ENTITY) & nsv_usx_pra).

Once the range settings are defined, the number server will be activated automatically to generate a valid ID whenever a record is added.

	What to do:
	Open the Mask Data from the context menu (right-click the desktop) Open > System > Masks or click the button .
	Find the mask EDB-ART-CFR.
	Click the button .
	Change to the Edit-Action-Userexit field and enter nsv_usx_pra as the userexit.
	If there is already a userexit present in this field, you need to amend the entry as follows: LIST_A must be entered at the beginning of the field, followed by all userexits (combined with "&"), e.g. LIST_A nsv_usx_pra & xartic_action (/FIELD_TYPE=ENTITY). Please note that the parameter /FIELD_TYPE=ENTITY must be enclosed in brackets!
	Save the entry with the button .
	Click the tab Field Default.
	Click the entry T_MASTER_DAT.PART_ID and click on the button .
	Change to the Default-Entry-M field and enter #ART-NR-3 as the userexit.
	Save the entry with the button .
	Click the button Reconfigure at the top of the mask.
	Call up the Item mask and create a few records.
