Naming Conventions in the Repository

Object Names

All object names in the DataView repository must correspond to naming conventions. Object names are for instance names of entities, DTV-relations, links, tables, masks, fields, messages, groups, users, etc. Names may only contain the following characters.

• Capital Latin letters [A-Z]
• Digits [0-9]
• Underscore [_]
• Names may not start with digits
• Spaces are not accepted during input
• Lowercase letters are automatically transformed to capital letters during input

Illegal Object Names

For table- and field names you may not use keywords of the connected database (e.g. DATE). Further information about that can be found in the documentation of the connected database.
